With shrink or without: which box should you buy?

Most of our Japanese booster boxes are listed twice: sealed with shrink, and sealed without shrink. People ask whether the no-shrink box is somehow lesser. It is not. Here is what is going on.
Why Japanese boxes come without shrink
In Japan, retailers often buy cases from distributors and remove the outer shrink wrap on individual boxes to apply store stickers or to check the contents. Those boxes are still factory sealed: every pack inside is untouched and the box has never been opened. The shrink wrap is just packaging.
Same box inside
A no-shrink box contains exactly the same number of packs, printed in the same factory run, with the same pull rates. If you are buying a box to open, there is no reason to pay more for shrink.
When shrink matters
If you are collecting sealed product, holding boxes long term, or planning to resell, buy the shrink version. Sealed collectors pay a premium for the factory wrap because it is the simplest way to prove the box has never been touched.
Where our boxes come from
Every box we sell, shrink or no shrink, comes from authorised distribution and is sealed at the box level. Genuine product is guaranteed either way.
Quick rule
Opening it: no shrink, save the money. Keeping it: shrink.
