Mega Rayquaza M6 Storm Emeralda: what's in the box

Mega Rayquaza M6 Storm Emeralda: what's in the box

Storm Emeralda is set M6 in the Japanese Mega Evolution era, and the box art tells you what it is about: Mega Rayquaza is back. Here is what you get and what to chase.

Box contents

A Japanese booster box holds 30 packs of 5 cards, 150 cards per box. The base set is 76 cards, with the secret rares (SR, SAR and the new MUR tier) printed above that number. Released in Japan on 31 July 2026.

What is new

M6 continues the Mega ex line, with Mega Rayquaza ex as the headline card and Special Art Rare treatments for the big names. The set also introduces dual Stadium cards to the Mega era, which matter for players as much as collectors.

What to chase

Mega Rayquaza ex in Special Art Rare is the card everyone is after and the one that sets the price of the box. The Illustration Rare line-up is strong, and because this is Japanese print the texture and centring are usually excellent for grading.

Shrink or no shrink

We list both. If you are ripping the box, buy no shrink and save. If you are holding it sealed, buy with shrink. Same box inside.

Price expectations

Pull rates for Japanese booster boxes are typically around one Special Art Rare per box, not guaranteed, with several Art Rares per box.

Shop it now: Pokémon Japan. Both versions are dispatched within 1–2 business days of payment.
